AccessHD DTA-1010D DTV Converter

AccessHD DTA-1010D

AccessHD offers four models of DTV Converters. This is one of the lower priced models. The primary difference between the two models is one comes with a universal remove and one doesn’t.

This model is the lower priced version which does not include the universal remote. The major value in using a universal remote is its ability be used with other devices. If you are looking for the Access HD model that includes the Universal Remote you are looking for the AccessHD DTA-1010U.

This device is used by connecting your current antenna to the back of the unit and it will convert all of your local OTA (Over the Air) Broadcast stations into analog TV format. ACCESS HD is distributed by GXI International. The warranty info states: “To locate your nearest authorized service center, warranty and parts, or for general customer service, please call 1-800-393-1246″. All you get is a recording that tries to sell you a new antenna; or a recorded repeat of the steps that are spelled out in the instruction booklet. There is absolutely no mention of service centers, warranty or parts. Customer service is just a recording and a sales pitch. The only human contact offered is to purchase the antenna.

Do you have any converter boxes with COMPONENT outputs? How much? Are they coupon eligible? I want to get 720p, 1080I but my hdtv has COMPONENT outputs not HDMI. What do I need to do to receive TRUE HIGH DEFINITION signal. Any info you can give me will be greatly appreciated.

Don’t waste your coupons on this unit. I purchased two of these boxes with major disappointment. The box
that the converter comes in is confusing. On the side of the box - TV converter with universal remote - On
the front of the box - dedicated remote? The slightest amount of interface creates the popup that a strong/
better antenna is required. You can’t make this popup go away. The manual states to push the OK button
to clear the message. BUT, until the problem preexist, again. Which is darn near constant if you don’t
have a strong enough signal. The majority of the time I did not see any interference. I agree Access HD is
in the business in the selling antennas. That’s the extent of their customer service. Also, read the label on
the side of the box. Do not return this product to the store - Call 1-800-393-1246. Back to the antenna
sales, again. At least ABC Warehouse made $80.00 off from the transition. I had to purchase two other
units at full price do to only two coupons aloud pre household. Fraud!Scam! Disappointment! Please don’t waste your money. I guarantee you will be disappointed. Buy a name brand and watch the features.
