i have a sansonic ft300a and it works great i have more channels than i ever had & picking up extra channels , alot of what I’ve read is other units with the cann tuner run real hot
to the touch. I wonder how long before a house catches on fire
I ordered a unit from radio shack but they could not deliver ,if i was to buy one and it went out how long would i have to wait for replacement and be without tv

I originally tried a namebrand GE box and received about 6 unstable channels. I returned it for the Sansonic FT-300, the only other choice. Upon installation, 20 channels were pulled in and can view about half perfectly without tuning the antennae. Considering I only spent $10 and tax out of pocket, this is a keeper.

Not all Analog to ATSC tuners are created equal. Nice to read this box performs well. It’s unfortunate - and we need more TV converter units reviewed and compared for best HD TV station sensitivity and channel reception quality. It may take the SECOND-generation of CECB’s to really up the quality and meet the expectations of consumers.

Same with HDTV antenna reviews too. They’re the _other_ half of the equation.
